This year on November 11th is the 100th anniversary of the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery.  We wanted to honor those interred there and tell the story of Arlington National Cemetery and the Tomb of the Unknowns. With our deepest respect.

This week ends Spooky October with a look at one of the most haunted prisons in the United States.  The Ohio State Reformatory has earned that title as well as being the Hollywood of Prisons.  Listen to this episode to learn about where many of the movies you enjoy and TV shows you have watched have been filmed.

It is Spooky October!  We were going to do ghost ships but after visiting the Carbon County Jail in Carbon County, Pennsylvania we decided we found our Spooky October theme!.  Special thanks to Blaine.

The Olympics are starting this week so we thought we would tell some tales of Greek Mythology.

This weeks episode is one the most special episodes we have produced.  We had the great honor to meet one of our Nation's National Treasures, Mr. Jim "Pee Wee" Martin.  Jim served in G Company, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division during World War II.  Jim jumped into Normandy on D-Day, he jumped into Holland as part of Operation Market Garden and he fought in the Battle of the Bulge near and around Bastogne, Belgium.  He found himself In Berchtesgaden, Germany at the end of the War.  Jim just celebrated his 100th birthday.  

After taking a pause for the 4th of July we come back this week to conclude our series on food giants.  This week we cover Milton Hershey.  What amazed us is the similarities with the other food entrepreneurs.  Vision, persistence and setbacks, but nothing that stoped his dream. We should we also mention his generosity and a passion for remembering where he came from.

We were very happy to talk about a truly fine human being, Dave Thomas, founder of Wendy's Hamburgers. Aside from starting a billion dollar business Dave was a true philanthropist with a passion for education and adoption. We encourage you to visit davethomasfoundation.org.  

This week we continue our series of food giants with the story of Henry John Heinz of Heinz Ketchup fame. We hope you never take ketchup for granted again.   There is so much more to its story than you would imagine.
